I used to think kids books were the easiest. A few words and some doodles.
Now I know better.
I’ve read dozens of kids books over and over again to my 3-year-old son and 1-year-old daughter.
What’s amazing is that I can do it without going crazy.
Somehow, the people who make good kids books make them so they’re a good read not just the first time, but the hundredth time. They make adults as comfortable with repetition as their children are. They connect the world of the parent to the world of the kid. A few words and some doodles.
That’s got to be hard.
